Position Overview
A leading consumer and industrial product manufacturer is seeking two dependable, safety-conscious Resource Technicians to join the 3rd-shift production team in Luzerne County. In this role, you will operate manufacturing equipment, support shipping and receiving operations, drive forklifts, and perform light maintenance on palletizing machinery.
We operate as a high-performance work organization, where flexibility, teamwork, and a continuous learning mindset are essential. You will rotate across various equipment lines, assist team members, and ensure high-quality and safety standards are met every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine & Equipment Operation: Safely set up, adjust, and operate production machinery according to manufacturing specifications. Rotate between equipment on different lines as needed.
- Material Handling & Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and finished goods throughout the facility. Assist with shipping and receiving, including loading/unloading trucks and verifying inventory.
- Palletizing & Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on palletizing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Monitor production output for quality defects, maintain accurate daily logs, and participate in Daily Management System (DMS) activities (including Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, Tightening, Centerlining, and Defect Handling).
- Cross-Functional Support: Cross-train on multiple task skills to backfill production gaps and ensure smooth plant operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification OR the ability and willingness to become certified onsite.
- Technical
Skills:
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel). Ability to safely operate, inspect, and troubleshoot light machinery. - Flexibility &
Schedule:
Willingness to work 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) and flex schedule for overtime, extended shifts, weekends, or holidays as business needs require. - Reliability: Strong attendance record, accessible by telephone, and reliable personal transportation to arrive at the workstation at the start of shift.
- Soft Skills: Excellent teamwork, strong communication, adaptable mindset, and willingness to share knowledge with peers.
- Safety Focus: Ability to continuously follow all plant safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
