Ecolab is seeking a Fabrication Specialist (Electromechanical Equipment Assembler) to join our team in Green Tree, PA (Pittsburgh, PA). As a Fabrication Specialist, you’ll build equipment offerings used to store, feed, monitor, and control chemicals in industrial applications while supporting fabrication, wiring, troubleshooting, analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Fabricate, test, and package equipment from blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Build assemblies from PVC fittings and stainless-steel tubing
- Perform quality control checkout procedures on equipment
- Prepare components for pre-assembly of finished product
- Use small machinery, power tools, and hand tools
- Assemble products according to instructions and produce a consistent product every time
- Partner with Quality team members to resolve product discrepancies and ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, and shift documentation
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements aligned with Ecolab's continuous improvement goals
- Utilize computers to check email and perform basic tasks and perform other duties as assigned

- Work with PVC fittings, stainless-steel tubing, electrical components, and mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of previous experience in an equipment manufacturing field (examples: pump skids, custom work)
- Experience working with small scale PVC fittings, stainless steel tubing, and compression fittings
- Experience reading blueprints, Bills of Materials, and assembly drawings

Physical Requirements of Position
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Work in a shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and odors
- Extended time standing while performing duties

Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled trade degree or certification
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Panel-building/small component wiring experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills (examples: data entry, internet, e-mail, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Previous forklift operating experience
