Processing Shift Supervisor

The Processing Shift Supervisor at Nutrition 101 LLC is responsible for overseeing production operations during the assigned shift. This role ensures that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Quality standards. The Shift Supervisor leads production staff, manages workflow, resolves issues in real time, and acts as the key point of contact for shift performance.

Key responsibilities include following and promoting the company's vision, mission, and values; complying with all company policies, safety procedures, and food safety requirements; operating equipment such as extruders, balers, conveyors, pumps, pressure washers, and refrigeration systems; leading and coordinating shift operations; reviewing production schedules and prioritizing work; ensuring loads are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently; monitoring equipment performance and identifying maintenance needs;

verifying load paperwork, production records, and shift documentation for accuracy; training employees on procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards; completing supervisor inspections, checklists, and cleaning documentation; remaining actively engaged on the production floor throughout the shift; communicating effectively with employees, leadership, and incoming/outgoing shifts; managing employee attendance, staffing needs, corrective actions, and scheduling communication; performing duties of Shift Leads, Operators, and other production team members when required;

attending required meetings, training sessions, and development programs; supporting continuous improvement initiatives and leadership development opportunities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6-12 months of experience in a lead, senior operator, or similar production role, forklift and yard truck operation experience, or the ability to become certified, working knowledge of production equipment, ability to read schedules, prioritize tasks, and adjust to changing production demands, understanding of food/feed safety, sanitation, quality standards, and cGMP requirements, experience completing production records, reports, and compliance documentation, proven leadership skills, ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and solve problems quickly, strong verbal and written communication skills, dependable attendance and consistent job performance, flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed, commitment to ongoing learning, leadership growth, and process improvement, must follow facility hygiene standards and all food safety regulations, and must remove all jewelry, watches, and visible piercings before entering production areas.
