Supervisor, Assembly and Laser
The Supervisor, Assembly and Laser is responsible for directly managing employees working within one or more Assembly and Laser Departments. This effort includes, but is not limited to, improving the efficiency of the Assembly and Laser operations by studying and applying generally accepted methods while keeping employees engaged to meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly delivery and output goals set by management.
This individual works with every department to ensure products are assembled and lasered correctly.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates positive leadership qualities through employee engagement and open communication
- Leads daily tier board meetings covering the departments objectives and goals for safety, quality, production and cost metrics
- Carries out the execution and creation of general manufacturing principles to drive efficiency, cost reduction processes and standard work initiatives
- Manages employee performance by providing feedback and coaching when necessary to meet or exceed expectations
- Effectively monitors both sustaining and launch project timelines to meet deadlines and dates given by the organization
- Drives quality initiatives throughout the organization to minimize and eliminate scrap, rejects and non-conformances
- Develops plans to maximize department asset utilization by mitigating downtime and optimizing employee work assignments
- Elevates all issues, which are beyond your scope of execution immediately upon realization
- Works with the Facilities Organization to schedule equipment downtime to perform preventive maintenance
- Supports the Company's compliance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation by identifying, assessing and reporting/resolving problems concerning the environment
- Executes and implement production schedules as provided to execute throughput of high-volume components and plan the use of resources. Create of self-sustaining production schedules when needed
- Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management in an honest, professional and respectful manner, while demonstrating effective listening skills
- Flexible with time and scheduling to assure availability to Globus as circumstances warrant
- Develops, evaluates, and improves machining and subsequent operations manufacturing methods
- Determines tooling requirements and assists in proving programming codes for machines
- Provides accurate time studies and corrections in correlation to work order estimates as needed
- Manages the planning, scheduling, testing and analyses on samples of completed parts
- Provides functional analysis in planning workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Provides strategic guidance for the planning with design staff concerning product design to ensure efficient production methods
- Troubleshoots programming of new projects from the customers drawings with or without code
- Coordinates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for senior management decisions
- Confers with other functional management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the Adva Med Code, Med Tech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required
- 10+ years manufacturing experience within a highly regulated industry
- 5+ years' experience in Leadership Roles, with experience training, developing, disciplining, reviewing and motivating employees
- 5+ years' experience that has included leading and implementing change in a manufacturing environment
- Must have detailed experience machining various grades of steel, titanium, plastics and polymers
- Demonstrated high level of performance in current and previous positions
- Working knowledge of computers and computer systems
- Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations; self-starter
