Job SummaryThe Lead Cultivation Agent works in on-site cannabis gardens to lead a team in daily tasks of monitoring and maintaining plant production and health. This role oversees quality control measures within the greenhouse to ensure high-quality products and compliance, while maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of the production area.
CoreJob Duties
- Agent Support and Management: Oversee cultivation staff, schedules, cultivation processes, and inventory; serve as a resource for staff regarding products, policies, procedures, industry news, and regulatory changes; respond to gardener questions and resolve conflicts; delegate tasks to gardeners and harvest technicians to maintain a compliant, clean facility; coordinate with Garden leadership to ensure accurate information is communicated to staff.
- Cultivation Operation Management: Oversee all cultivation tasks and processes; ensure proper documentation in accordance with state and Cresco Labs standards; measure and mix nutrient and plant applications and apply per policy; support plant health through pruning and related care; rotate strains to ensure variety and quantity.
- Reports and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities, inventory, crop applications, materials receipts and returns in line with state and Cresco standards.
- Experience training, leading or mentoring junior staff or new hires (preferred).
- Experience overseeing a large-scale agriculture facility (preferred).
- Two years of experience in a production facility or related field; or a satisfactory combination of experience and training.
- Effective time-management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations.
- Computer literacy (word processing, POS systems, database management).
- Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law.
- Ability to perform duties in varying weather conditions.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and POS applications.
- Ability to work around plant material (pollen or dust) and to sit, stand, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
