Batter/Breader Operator

This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that mixes or blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

• The Batter/Breader Operator is responsible for properly applying all Batter and Breading to various products according to specifications and for all batter breader operations, batter mixer, batter applicator, pre-duster, and breader.
• Set up batter and breader machine controls. Dump flour and water into a mixer. Monitor batter and breader machines for proper viscosity, refrigeration pumps, and meters, to ensure the product is within proper specifications, and make necessary adjustments.
• Turn on conveyors to air-dry equipment and check for broken webs. Dump bags of pre-dust and breading into the machine as needed to keep equipment adequately supplied with dry ingredients. Perform batter pick-ups and make necessary adjustments to ensure weights are within specification. Monitor product appearance constantly for even coating and desirable color according to specifications. Clean work area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Six months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting. Physically able to perform duties while standing, constantly moving, and lifting for the duration of the shift. The Breader Operator is also responsible for all other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor. Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively. Must be able to communicate clearly via phone, in person, and in writing. Basic math skills (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication and subtraction.)
  
  Able to use simple measuring instruments such as scales and gauges.

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
• 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
