Inkjet Trainee

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Inkjet Trainee to support our Printing Media operations within the Manufacturing & Production department. In this entry-level role, you'll learn to set up, operate, and monitor digital inkjet printing equipment used to produce client-facing communications. Under close mentorship, you'll assist with file preparation, press checks, quality control, basic maintenance, and finishing tasks while adhering to production schedules and safety standards.

This is a hands-on role in a collaborative, high-performance environment, offering strong training, exposure to public affairs projects, and clear paths for skill growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and monitoring of digital inkjet printing equipment
• Prepare and review print files, materials, and job tickets before production
• Perform visual and measured quality checks to ensure color, registration, and print clarity
• Support basic equipment maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting under supervision
• Follow production schedules, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Handle, organize, and finish printed materials according to job specifications
• Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, efficient work area
• Collaborate with production and account teams to meet client requirements
