Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Production Shop Supervisor in Eighty Four, PA for an established manufacturing company specializing in filtration systems and equipment
.
This is a newly created production leadership position designed for an experienced manufacturing professional who understands the shop floor and can bring structure, organization, scheduling, and accountability to the production process.
The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing, machine shop, machining, fabrication, or industrial production background combined with previous leadership or supervisory experience
.
This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing a small team of four direct reports
.
Supervise and coordinate daily shop floor production activities
Schedule production work and prioritize jobs based on customer requirements and deadlines
Assign and delegate tasks to production employees
Monitor production schedules, project timelines, and employee hours
Coordinate manpower and resources to keep production moving efficiently
Track the progress of multiple projects and adjust priorities as needed
Identify production delays, scheduling conflicts, and workflow bottlenecks
Read and interpret manufacturing specifications, drawings, and production documentation
Apply knowledge of tooling, machining, and manufacturing processes
Communicate production priorities and expectations to employees
Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and accountability to the production team
Work closely with management to communicate production status, priorities, and challenges
Ensure employees have the tools, materials, information, and direction needed to complete assigned work
Help establish more efficient and organized production processes and workflow
Monitor employee time and project hours
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive shop environment
Perform other duties as assigned
We’re looking for an experienced manufacturing leader who understands both people and production

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or a machine shop
Previous lead, supervisor, foreman, or management experience
Strong knowledge of shop floor operations and production workflow
Familiarity with tooling and manufacturing equipment
Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and production documentation
Experience with
production scheduling and job coordinationExperience delegating work and directing employees
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple jobs and deadlines
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive and productive work environment
Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment
