Shipping and Receiving Specialist

This role supports production and the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) team during a period of transition by ensuring accurate and timely flow of documentation from the office to the production floor and providing hands-on support in shipping and receiving. The position focuses on maintaining a safe work environment, managing inventory information, and accurately loading shipping and receiving data into the company's systems.

Responsibilities

• Support production operations by ensuring required documentation and instructions move efficiently from the office to the production floor.
• Assist the EHS team during operational transitions by following established safety procedures and reinforcing safe work practices.
• Provide day-to-day support on the shipping and receiving side, including preparing, checking, and handling incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Accurately load and maintain shipping and receiving information in the company's systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
• Assist with inventory-related tasks, including tracking, organizing, and updating inventory records as required.
• Coordinate with production and office staff to ensure materials, documentation, and products are available when needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and promptly report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Operate within a heavy industrial environment, adhering to all applicable operational and safety guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with production, EHS, and office teams during periods of change.
• Strong attention to detail for accurately entering and maintaining shipping, receiving, and inventory data.
• Comfort working in a heavy industrial environment with machinery and automated equipment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new automated equipment and processes.
• Good communication skills to coordinate documentation and information flow between office and floor.
• Capability to interpret and follow written documentation, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shoemakersville, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
