We are seeking an experienced RTM Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Telford, PA. This is a hands-on production role focused on assembling composite components using Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) processes.
The ideal candidate has experience working with fiberglass, resin, molds, composite materials, hand and power tools
, and understands the importance of following technical drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined manufacturing professional who enjoys hands-on work and can operate independently while contributing to a team-oriented production environment.
What You'll DoPrepare molds and materials for RTM processes, including cleaning molds, applying release agents, and positioning fiberglass and other reinforcement materials.
Load fiberglass and related materials into molds of various shapes and sizes.
Inject resin into molds using RTM equipment and monitor curing cycles.
Unload, maintain, and prepare cured molds.
Assemble composite components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications, and quality standards.
Assemble routine units and components, including pumps, systems, filters, and related equipment.
Perform visual inspections and routine quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensional accuracy, cosmetic imperfections, and compliance with specifications.
Repair parts with cosmetic imperfections when necessary.
Perform hand sanding, trimming, grinding, and finishing of composite parts.
Remove burrs and flashing using hand tools and portable power grinding equipment.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate production records and report quality issues or process deviations.
Work with other related parts, materials, and media used in assemblies.
Follow standardized operating procedures for regular production products.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Work with minimal supervision while maintaining expected levels of quality and productivity.
May assist or guide employees working at the same or lower grade levels.
What We're Looking For2+ years of experience with RTM equipment and Resin Transfer Molding
2+ years of experience assembling parts using RTM or similar composite manufacturing processes
2+ years of experience repairing composite parts
2+ years of experience grinding various shaped parts
Experience working with fiberglass, resin, composites, molds, and related materials
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience using hand tools and power tools
Ability to perform grinding, sanding, trimming, deburring, and finishing work
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to perform routine inspections and identify defects
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and different levels of the organization
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and dependable attendance
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical training in composites is preferred.
