Armstrong World Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor responsible for leading production activities and driving performance across safety, quality, process effectiveness, cost, and team development. This role partners closely with plant operations to achieve manufacturing goals through technical and operational improvements.

What does a Production Supervisor do?

  • Ensure all materials shipped meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
  • Hold your team accountable for producing high-quality products.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and process settings.
  • Monitor and verify completion of process checks, inspections, and system documentation.
  • Follow up on scrap RCFA (root cause failure analysis) and quality hold events to ensure resolution.
  • Plan ahead to ensure smooth shift transitions and operational continuity.
  • Ensure operator maintenance tasks are completed on time.
  • Identify and implement process and maintenance improvements.
  • Schedule and manage crew activities to optimize efficiency and control costs.
  • Lead and support training, cross-training, and skill development of team members.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible/rotating shifts.
