Welder Fitter Fabricator

Welder / Fitter / Fabricator Pay: $23.18/hour to start

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Optional Overtime:
Saturday, 6:00 AM-11:00 AM

TOPS Staffing is hiring a Welder/Fitter/Fabricator for a manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for someone with welding and steel fabrication experience who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in producing quality work.

• Layout, fit, and fabricate steel structures using blueprints and drawings
• Work as part of fabrication crew
• Perform approximately 95% MIG welding and 5% Stick welding
• Weld steel joints and seams using .035 wire and Lincoln welding equipment
• Work with 10-gauge plate, ¼" tube steel, steel angle, and limited stainless and galvanized metals
• Use plasma cutters and oxy-fuel torches for cutting and preparation
• Measure and lay out materials accurately using a tape measure
• Inspect your work to ensure quality and proper fit
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

• 1-3 years of welding/fabrication experience
• Solid MIG welding experience;
  Stick welding experience
• Ability to read and follow blueprints
• Experience fitting and laying out steel
• Comfortable using plasma cutters and cutting torches
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Ability to lift approximately 75 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Positive, team-oriented can-do attitude
• Must provide basic hand tools
• Steel-toed boots, appropriate work clothing, and safety glasses required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
