We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials, components, and supplies throughout the plant while maintaining accurate inventory records. The Material Handler will work closely with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure materials are available when needed, production schedules are met, and safety and quality standards are maintained.
The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, team-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Material Handling & Inventory Control
- Receive, move, stage, and distribute materials between receiving, warehouse, and production areas to support production schedules and TAKT requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory locations and transactions in JD Edwards, including material transfers, bin locations, part receipts, and work order staging.
- Perform cycle counts, monitor inventory levels, and identify and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or non-conforming products.
- Load, unload, and transport materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for quantity and quality accuracy and prepare materials for shipment with appropriate packaging and documentation.
- Complete production logs, inventory transactions, work orders, and other required documentation accurately and timely.
- Support quality and MRB processes by documenting defects, deviations, and non-conforming materials in accordance with company and ISO requirements.
- Follow all safety, PPE, EHS, and 5S requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork across Production, Quality, Receiving, and other departments.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to established procedures.
- Basic computer and inventory system skills with the ability to accurately complete electronic transactions.
