Welder​/Furnace Operator

Storm Search is conducting a DIRECT HIRE search for an EB Operator/Welding Manufacturing Technician What's in it for YOU?

• 2nd Shift AND 3rd shift available (4:00 PM – 12:00 AM; 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
• Must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed
• $31/hour + 10% shift differential

We are seeking mechanically inclined Manufacturing Technicians with experience in welding, overhead crane operation, forklift operation, and the use of hand and power tools in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates who are safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks including arc welding, flame cutting, and basic metal repair
• Understand basic chemistry specifications and interpret furnace-casting conditions while maintaining operating logs and monitoring monitors, gauges, meters, etc.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials, parts, and equipment throughout the facility
• Utilize hand and power tools including grinders, drills, saws, impacts, wrenches, and other shop equipment
• Assist with furnace equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, production schedules, and safety procedures
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to meet operational goals
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support production demands

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Trade school or technical training is a plus
• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, fabrication, or heavy industrial environments required
• Hands‑on welding experience preferred
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts highly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
