Process Operator PGP

Pennsylvania Grain Processing (PGP) is looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals to join our production team as Process Operators.

This is a hands-on industrial position for someone who is comfortable working independently, taking responsibility for their assigned area, and being part of a team that keeps a 24/7 production facility running safely and efficiently.

Process Operators work 12-hour shifts from either 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.

The schedule follows a 2-days-on, 2-days-off rotation with every other weekend scheduled to work. This provides regularly scheduled days off during the week as well as every other weekend off.

Day or night shift placement is based on the current staffing needs of the plant and cannot be guaranteed at the time of hire.

Employees who are placed on a shift other than their preference may have opportunities to move to another shift as openings become available. Shift movement is based on operational needs and seniority.

As a Process Operator, you will help operate and monitor equipment throughout our ethanol production facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring production equipment, processes, readings, and operating conditions
• Performing routine rounds and inspections throughout assigned areas
• Identifying and reporting equipment or process issues
• Completing housekeeping and general cleaning responsibilities
• Following operating procedures and safety requirements
• Wearing required PPE and working safely in an industrial environment
• Climbing stairs and ladders and working throughout different areas of the facility
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and other operators
• Responding to changing plant conditions and completing assigned tasks without constant supervision
• Maintaining dependable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts

Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train someone who demonstrates the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Starting wage: $21.00 per hour
