Industrial Designer

Linton Group is continuing its rapid expansion and is searching for an Industrial Designer to join our team. This is a hands‑on design role with real ownership: you’ll take consumer products from first sketch through prototyping and into mass production, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with our Product Executive team here in Pennsylvania and our project management and sourcing teams in China.

• Own the full new product development cycle across a diverse portfolio of consumer categories — from ideation and concept design through engineering, DFM, and prototyping
• Deliver industrial design work for both internal Product Executives and external clients using Rhino, Solid Works, Adobe Creative Cloud, Key Shot, and related design and rendering tools
• Drive the NPD process internally, taking accountability for development timelines, target costing, and prototype quality at every review gate
• Partner cross‑functionally with our sales team and our overseas project management and sourcing teams to keep projects moving and decisions unblocked
• Serve as the critical link between our China project management team and our U.S. sales team as projects transition into mass production, ensuring nothing is lost in translation
• Join Product Executives in client meetings and build the development decks that bring concepts, engineering trade-offs, and product direction to life for the client
• Lead calls with overseas manufacturers to pressure‑test product ideas, troubleshoot development issues, and review prototypes

• 3+ years of hands‑on industrial design experience with consumer products
• Demonstrated experience contributing to DFM and engineering development, not design work alone
• Exposure to overseas sourcing and manufacturing processes is a strong plus
• Strong consultative communication skills — active listening, and the ability to structure and explain sophisticated product ideas within their business context
• Proven ability to lead design and development processes across multicultural, multi‑time‑zone teams
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to move multiple projects forward simultaneously
• Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin, as this role presents, explains, strategizes, and negotiates daily with teams in the U.S. and China
• Must be willing and able to work onsite daily in Bala Cynwyd, PA (this is not a remote or hybrid role)
• A portfolio demonstrating consumer products you’ve taken from concept to production
