Entangled Publishing is one of the largest independent publishers in the United States, publishing blockbuster romantic fiction and thrillers across YA and adult markets. Since 2011, we’ve built a track record of launching breakout hits, including Fourth Wing, which has sold over 40 million copies worldwide.
We release 5–6 major titles per month, most debuting on the New York Times bestseller list. We operate with the scale of a major publisher and the speed and ambition of a startup. We were named the #1 Most Innovative Media Company in 2025 by Fast Company
Role DescriptionWe’re looking for a Campaign Lead who can take full ownership of a portfolio of book launches and turn them into breakout successes.
This is not a traditional marketing role. Reporting to Entangled’s Growth Strategist, you will design and execute the strategy for each title you own and guide campaigns from concept through launch, partnering with internal teams to bring key moments and initiatives to life.
You will act as the mini CEO of your campaigns, owning positioning, creative direction, and results. You'll work with cross-functional teams across social, paid media, creative, publicity, and retail, translating strategy into action and making real-time decisions on what to scale, shift, or stop.
This role requires both strong strategic thinking and stellar execution that drives impact. You are accountable for outcomes and responsible for ensuring the campaign delivers.
If you naturally look at a book and immediately see how it should be positioned, who it’s for, and how to make it take off—this role is built for you.
What You’ll Do- Own 3–5 book campaigns at a time, from planning through post-launch
- Take go-to-market strategy from Book Growth Strategist and translate it into executable plans
- Develop and own core marketing copy and messaging, including hooks, taglines, and campaign language
- Create campaign briefs and creative direction that guide execution across marketing channels
- Own campaign direction from concept through launch, partnering with internal teams to execute key campaign initiatives and high-impact moments
- Act as the single point of accountability for campaign performance
- Lead campaign kickoff and internal alignment across teams
- Provide strategic direction and support execution across social, paid media, creative, publicity, retail, and events
- Identify breakout opportunities through stunts, partnerships, influencer moments, and cultural trends
- Make real-time decisions on campaign direction (what to scale, shift, or stop)
- Ensure execution teams deliver against campaign strategy and priorities
- Prioritize resources and focus across campaigns to ensure the highest-impact work gets done
- Track performance and continuously optimize campaigns based on results and insights
- Support key campaign execution needs when necessary, helping ensure high-priority initiatives are delivered successfully
- Conduct post-launch campaign analyses and debriefs, evaluating performance, identifying key learnings, and making recommendations for future campaigns
- Plus any additional tasks as needed
- 5+ years in marketing, publishing, media, entertainment, or consumer brands
- Proven ability to own outcomes, not just contribute to them
- Strong strategic thinking paired with creative instincts
- Deep understanding of audience behavior, fandom, and what drives attention
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns at once in a fast-paced environment
- Decisive, accountable, and comfortable making calls with imperfect information
- Strong taste level in messaging, positioning, and creative direction
- Publishing experience is a plus—but not required. We care more about instinct, judgment, and results.
- Candidates who want to manage a department rather than own campaigns
- Candidates who prefer advisory roles over decision-making
- Candidates who specialize in a single channel without broader strategic thinking
- Candidates who rely on static playbooks instead of adapting to the market
