Senior Engagement Strategist

Malvern, PA, USA

Up to $130,000/ year

Join Financial Advisor Services Integration Operating System team as a Senior Engagement Strategist. Integration OS is focused on delivering a connected advisor experience across human and digital channels, helping advisors feel like they are engaging with one Vanguard that understands their needs and can guide them to the right next action.

In this role, you will partner closely with a Client Journey Owner and a cross-functional Client Journey Management team to translate business priorities, advisor needs, sales signals, product opportunities, and performance insights into clear, actionable experience strategies.

You will define the audience strategy, experience positioning, journey map, learning agenda, and optimization plan for always-on, integrated journeys that engage financial advisors, deepen relationships, and accelerate business outcomes.

The Senior Engagement Strategist plays a critical role in connecting digital and human engagement, applying client intelligence and behavioral signals, shaping always-on journey orchestration, and continuously optimizing experiences based on performance, experimentation, and business impact.

As a member of the Engagement Strategy team, you will help raise the bar on advisor experience by ensuring every journey is grounded in a clear advisor need, aligned to business outcomes, connected across touchpoints, and designed to learn and improve over time.

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Define experience strategies and audience criteria for integrated advisor journeys aligned to business priorities, advisor needs, and IOS outcomes.
  • Develop journey maps, positioning, experience briefs, hypotheses, learning agendas, and success measures that guide cross-functional execution.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Managers to translate strategy into trigger-based, always-on digital journeys using marketing automation and personalization capabilities.
  • Apply client intelligence, behavioral signals, segmentation, sales context, and performance data to improve targeting, sequencing, messaging, and journey orchestration across digital and human channels (web, email, sales, CRM, etc.).
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to identify optimization opportunities and improve engagement, sales activation, and business impact.
  • Partner with analysts to define KPIs, monitor OKR progress, interpret journey performance, and recommend optimizations.
  • Lead or support experimentation plans that validate hypotheses, improve journey effectiveness, and build reusable learnings across IOS.
  • Coordinate with content strategists, product/PMM, sales, technology, and other partners to ensure experiences are accurate, relevant, compliant, and aligned to advisor needs.
  • Communicate recommendations, risks, insights, and optimization plans to stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Help improve the IOS operating model by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, clarify decision rights, improve prioritization, and scale high-performing journey patterns.
  • Ability to understand and communicate customer needs and business strategies.
  • Ability to present thoughts both verbally and visually (storytelling) using PowerPoint and Word.
  • A high degree of creativity, empathy, passion, and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to define objectives and work with a team to develop a cohesive strategy that drives business results.
  • Ability to manage multiple strategic assignments at once.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion and influence skills.

What it takes:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum five years related experience. Two years in digital marketing, user experience, or client experience.
  • Experience working in the Financial Services sector or equivalent B2B experience.
