List Services Assistant

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a detail-oriented List Services Assistant to support high-impact public affairs and advocacy campaigns. In this role, you will manage and update contact databases, perform list segmentation, and ensure data accuracy for targeted outreach. You will coordinate with account teams to pull lists for email, direct mail, and event invitations, assist with list hygiene and importing/exporting data between platforms, and generate basic reports.

The role offers close collaboration with senior strategists, a fast-paced environment, and the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of public affairs, campaigns, and strategic communications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and update contact and mailing lists for advocacy and communications campaigns
• Segment lists based on targeting criteria for email, direct mail, and event outreach
• Import, export, and reconcile data across CRM, email, and spreadsheet platforms
• Monitor data quality, perform regular list hygiene, and resolve duplicates or errors
• Generate basic list and performance reports for internal teams
• Collaborate with account teams to understand targeting needs and campaign timelines
• Support preparation of lists for events, webinars, and stakeholder briefings
• Follow data handling, confidentiality, and compliance guidelines
