Caseworker/Program Facilitator

The Salvation Army is hiring for a Caseworker/Program Facilitator position in the Service Extension Department located in Honesdale, PA. The position is available immediately and requires an on-call schedule of 19 hours per week. The Caseworker/Program Facilitator reports to the Regional Manager and is classified under salary grade $13.00 per hour, non-exempt.

The Caseworker/Program Facilitator is responsible for maintaining a positive presence in Wayne County, developing and maintaining programs related to volunteers and other community agencies. This position involves responding courteously and promptly to all communications, providing intake and referral services for Salvation Army clients, recruiting and training volunteers, and handling intake for government and other agency funding programs. The Caseworker/Program Facilitator also creates and implements fundraising events, organizes seasonal programs, assists with the Red Kettle Campaign, and performs various administrative duties such as maintaining records, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring office cleanliness.

Requirements for this position include good leadership and communication skills, the ability to maintain records, compassion and interest in meeting the needs of families and individuals, proof of completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse, Child Protection Clearances, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, and an understanding and appreciation of The Salvation Army's mission.
