Summary of the Position:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for direct support for Bedford County Program.
Program Coordinator should have a strong knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the program, particularly as it relates to contract compliance, service delivery, and the client intake/referral process for services.
This position oversees the Advocacy Services as it relates to the client case management and providing community outreach and support.
The work has less to do with general office duties than with assisting in the operation or administration of a local program/unit.
Availability to work flexible hours up to 40 hours per week.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with commensurate experience in community-based agency programs except for programs where the referring authority requires a specific degree. Master's Degree a plus.
- At minimum, at least one-year previous experience in managing personnel and budgets.
- 5+ years of Adult waiver Intellectual Disabilities Experience preferred.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 is preferred; experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Experience in the provision of home and community-based services is a plus.
- Willing to consider non-degreed applicant with 2-5 years of experience.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
