The Hempfield School District welcomes parents, guardians, and community members who wish to support students and school programs through volunteer service!
All volunteers are required to obtain the appropriate clearances in accordance with Pennsylvania law and Board policy.
Individuals serving in coaching positions or volunteering on a regularly scheduled basis with direct student interaction must complete the district volunteer application process and receive school board approval prior to beginning service. Once an application is submitted, it will be reviewed and, if selected, the applicant will be contacted by the Human Resources Department regarding next steps. Volunteers may not begin service until they have received approval and completed the onboarding process with the Human Resources Department.
All volunteers are expected to comply with district policies and procedures and maintain appropriate professional conduct while working with students and staff.
NOTE: Parents/guardians volunteering for one-time supervised activities (such as field trips, classroom parties, or special events) should skip the volunteer application, as it is not required for these opportunities. Please submit all four required clearances directly to hroffice for approval prior to volunteering.
