Partner with the Lead Pastor and other staff to strategically lead the vision and execution of age-appropriate expressions for 6th–12th grade students (VRTCL youth). You are the Chief Steward and responsible for ensuring every student who is far from God finds their full potential in Christ.
RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Development
- Spiritual Leadership: Serve as the Primary Communicator at all VRTCL student nights, delivering high-energy, relevant, and biblically grounded messages that drive life change.
- Volunteer Strategy: Identify, recruit, and train teams of adult volunteers. You are a multiplier of leaders, fulfilling the responsibilities of the role primarily through serve teams rather than acting as a solo chaperone or event planner.
- Team Support: Provide regular contribution, development, oversight, and support to multiple student leadership teams (9-12th graders) and adult teams simultaneously.
- Passion for the House: Demonstrate a visible, strong passion to build the local church, modeling the "heart and soul" of Elevate to the next generation.
- Marketing & Promotion: Proactively utilize all available resources and digital channels to promote Student Ministry events, initiatives, and life change stories.
- Parent Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for families. Develop and maintain a parent database and execute a consistent system for regular parent contact and resourcing.
- Community Connection: Maintain consistent involvement with the pastoral needs of students on campus and in local schools, bridging the gap between the weekend experience and the students' daily lives.
- Church-Wide Integration: Oversee the planning and execution of church-wide events that include VRTCL (Brotherhood/Sisterhood, "At The Movies," Baptisms, and Holiday services), ensuring excellence and alignment with other Elevate departments.
- Budget Stewardship: Properly steward the allocated VRTCL budget (Maintenance, equipment, events, and team appreciation) with total ownership.
- Initiative: Function as a high-capacity self-starter who takes initiative and succeeds with minimal supervision.
- Scalability: Create tools and systems that set new standards for student ministry, ensuring the department is healthy, organized, and ready for growth.
- Expertise: Professional experience and a passion for public speaking and technical service direction.
- Leadership: A natural ability to develop leaders and manage multiple teams.
- Ownership: A high-level executor who takes total responsibility for their environment.
The position will also be held accountable for the following:
- Being a tithing contributor in at Elevate Church
- Attending at weekend services and in a Group or on the Serve Team
- Modeling and championing the Mission, Vision, and Culture of Elevate Church
- Adhere to staff values of Elevate Church.
If hired, you will work directly with the Lead Pastor and others to define the specific, measurable responsibilities and action items you’ll leverage to multiply the impact through people at Elevate.
