AFSCME invites candidates to join its Organizer-In-Training program, a year-long initiative designed to ground participants in the AFSCME organizing model. You’ll learn fundamentals of organizing campaigns through active mentorship and work on campaigns to support workers in building strong unions.
OITs come from diverse backgrounds and are placed on campaigns with experienced Lead Organizers who provide mentoring and training. Responsibilities grow as you progress through the program.
