Ameri Corps Full Time Position

Northwestern School District (High School and Middle School Openings)

Ameri Corps Responsibilities: (in addition to host site service)
- Plan and implement service-learning projects for students at host sites or in communities
- Attend monthly member meetings
- Complete virtual training to amplify service abilities
- Participate in National Service Days and planned events
- Create a service portfolio and track and report service outcomes
- Serve as an ambassador in your neighborhood and community
- Participate in a virtual pre-service training prior to serving at assigned host site
Schedule:
Monday – Friday - Full Time Daytime Hours (occasional evening / weekend hours)
Monthly Pretax Living Allowance:
1,300 Hour Term: $2,600.00 gross per month (37 weeks)
Term Education Award:
1,300 Hour Term: $5,176.50 (37 weeks)
- Additionally, federal loan forbearance (pause in loan payments) while serving in Ameri Corps
- Accrued interest while serving as an Ameri Corps member paid by Ameri Corps program
- Education Award earned when program is successfully completed

All members must participate in a three-day pre-service training which may be virtual or in-person.
Ameri Corps is a national service program in which during membership members also agree to participate in Ameri Corps activities in addition to host site placement responsibilities.
Activities are concentrated in the following areas:
- School Readiness & Success
- Mentoring Youth through Service
- Academic support service
- Community Strengthening through Outreach Events and Special Projects
- STEM/STEAM/STREAM activities and service learning
- Host sites may have additional areas of focus to be discussed at host site interview.
