Job Overview
Collaborates with management, academic faculty and staff to support Thomas Jefferson University’s philanthropic priorities. Maintains an active portfolio of new prospects and existing donors encompassing the full donor cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, gift closure, and stewardship. Responsible for meeting defined metrics and goals annually including number of proposals presented and funded, meaningful donor encounters, and dollars raised.
Responsibilities- Maintain and manage a portfolio and communicate with alumni, donors and friends via phone calls, in‑person meetings and emails to foster relationships that lead to philanthropic commitments.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the needs and priorities of various colleges and programs through internal meetings and faculty relationships, and articulate compelling cases for support.
- Collaborate with OIA centralized teams such as Communications, Events, Research, Annual Fund and Planned Giving to advance donor relations.
- Maintain proactive communications with colleagues to ensure effective collaboration and synergy in achieving key fundraising goals and objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in frontline fundraising.
- Superior interpersonal skills and a capacity to engage, inspire, and persuade both internal and external constituents.
- Experience with database software systems/CRM and Microsoft Office.
- Driver’s license for the state of Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware.
