Responsibilities
The Horsham Clinic is seeking compassionate, trustworthy, and well‑rounded Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide safe and therapeutic care in a large inpatient behavioral health setting. RNs work under the supervision of the CNO, ADON, and Nurse Manager, and are responsible for crisis intervention, activities of daily living, and coordinating nursing care for psychiatric patients.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment through unit safety checks and patient rounds.
- Coordinate, delegate, evaluate, and monitor nursing care for a variety of psychiatric patients.
- Demonstrate leadership and positive work environment with flexibility for reassignment to various units and populations.
- Comply with confidentiality laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Engage with stakeholders, including physicians, treatment team, and leadership, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Perform vitals, administer and monitor medications, and conduct contraband searches as needed.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities and oversee unit workflow when required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school (required).
- Registered Nursing License in good standing (required).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in addiction or inpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining patient treatment plans preferred.
- EMR experience and basic computer knowledge preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication, teamwork, organization, and decision‑making skills.
