* Position Purpose
* The Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse Identifies the nursing care needs and evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care for adult and geriatric radiation therapy patients.

* As a Radiation/Cancer Center Nurse you will:
* * Provides professional nursing care by conducting an initial and ongoing nursing assessment, identifying physical, psychosocial and educational needs to patient's ongoing radiation treatment.

* Provides nursing assistance to the Radiation Oncologist in pre-treatment patient consultation and follow-up exams/visits.

* Instructs patients and significant others regarding treatment related side effects, self-care responsibility therapy procedures, weekly assessments and follow-up care.

* Minimum Qualifications:

* * Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

* Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) required;
Master's in Nursing preferred.

* Current Registered Nurse license by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State required. 

* 2-4 years related clinical experience in oncology.

* BLS & ACLS certifications.

* OCN certification preferred.
