Join our team as a Senior Professional Staff Nurse on the 16-bed Transitional Care Unit, leading high-quality patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and helping patients regain their independence and enjoy everyday life again!
Status:
Flex Full Time (28-40 hours/week)
Shifts:
Primarily night shift & rotating weekends
Responsibilities:
+ Applies the nursing process within Relationship-Based Care to create a healing environment, setting daily goals and plans of care that address holistic patient needs.
+ Passionately develops others by precepting students, graduate nurses, and new hires, identifying learning opportunities, and supporting continuous professional growth.
+ Demonstrates strong communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
+ Incorporates evidence-based practice, professional guidelines, and organizational goals to drive quality improvement and positive patient outcomes.
+ Serves as a role model and recognized unit leader in clinical expertise, teaching, specialized practice, and/or evidence-based initiatives.
+ Provides constructive feedback, engages in peer review, and leads or participates in teams to promote innovation, unit improvement, and shared governance.
+ Fosters a healthy workplace by building strong relationships, demonstrating cultural awareness, addressing workplace challenges, and maintaining work-life balance.
Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.
+ Minimum 1 year of RN experience REQUIRED.
+ Current RN licensure (state-specific or NLC)
+ BLS/CPR required.
+ Demonstrated knowledge and skills to care for patients across the lifespan, with strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to lead others.
+ Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, patients, and families,
+ Work effectively in complex environments and manage multiple priorities.
+ Physical ability for walking, standing, lifting, positioning patients, and using specialized equipment.
