About the Position
The Psych/Detox Nurse delivers comprehensive care to patients with behavioral health needs, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions. This role includes completing psychiatric and withdrawal assessments, monitoring vital signs and detox symptoms, administering medications (including PRN for agitation or withdrawal), and supporting physician-directed treatment plans. The nurse provides crisis intervention, de-escalation, suicide risk monitoring, and patient education on recovery and coping strategies.

Additional responsibilities include documenting patient progress, coordinating with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, and ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Strong clinical judgment, calm under pressure, and excellent communication skills are essential in this setting.

Requirements
Must have  1 year min of recent acute psych/detox exp; SNF/Home Health experience will not be considered.

Active compact or PA RN License

BLS and CPI (  CPI is taken for free during orientation)

50 mile radius rule
