Position: Graduate Nurse Rotational Program: UPMC Northwest- Med/Surg Track Spring 2027 Grads
Location: Seneca

Are you graduating in Spring 2027 from nursing school and looking to launch your nursing career? Our Graduate Nurse Rotational Program may be the perfect fit! You will rotate through various units within the hospital to gain valuable and varied experience while working alongside an experienced nurse to help mentor and guide you in your learning.

UPMC Northwest ()  in Seneca, Cranberry Township, has 96 private rooms, including 30 that can be converted for semi-private occupancy, yielding as many as 126 beds. A one-story, 28-bed behavioral health building, part of the UPMC Behavioral Health Network, adjoins the hospital via an enclosed walkway. A nine-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and a 16-bed transitional care unit are also located adjacent to the hospital.

Plentiful free parking and four entrances make the facilities readily accessible to patients and visitors. A convenient outpatient diagnostic center is located in the hospital for those who need outpatient laboratory and imaging exams.

What is the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program (GNRP)?

UPMC NW is pleased to announce we are NOW HIRING Graduate Nurses as full-time Professional Staff Nurses to support various hospital units as part of a special Rotational Program. Previous participants have had the opportunity to rotate through various units (listed below) for 4-5 weeks.

+ 3 South: medical / oncology

+ 3 West: medical / surgical / pediatrics

+ 2 North: telemetry

What Does Placement Look Like Post-GNRP?

Upon completion of the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program, placements are determined by participant preference, Hiring Manager preference, and business need through a collaborative matching process at UPMC Hamot.

Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary from the My Nursing Career Ladder based on their individual experience and education.

Shift/

Hours:

Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.

GNs must be eligible for State Board Licensure and successfully pass the examination before beginning this role
-OR- must have a Temporary Practice Permit and commit to taking the NCLEX examination within 6 months of hire.

+ Demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide care and interact with all ages of patients.

+ Understand the principles of growth and development over the lifespan.

+ Assess data on patients' statuses to identify each patient's specific care needs.
