University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Certified Nurse Midwife to help support UPMC Womancare Associates.

Hours: 4-5 shifts per week
Location: Wexford and Mars
Position Specifics: Magee Womancare Associates (WCA) North is inclusive of 5 office locations in the northern region of Pittsburgh. Our team of physicians, midwives, and advanced practice providers collaborate to provide care across communities. Our midwives are independent practioners that support OB, gyn, and procedures within our outpatient offices. All of our midwives deliver at UPMC Magee, where the midwife will attend births independently as part of a 3 person call team (1 midwife, 2 physicians).

We value a collaborative team approach as our busy practice requires excellent communication within the interdisciplinary team. Our midwives also are career ladder eligible! Experience in Women's Health is preferred.

Staff Level:
The Staff CNM is a Certified Registered Nurse Midwife and a member of the care delivery team. The CNM, Staff is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The CNM, Staff has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. The CNM, Staff manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members.

The role of the CNM, Staff encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The CNM, Staff establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Staff APP begins to demonstrate a commitment to the community and to their healthcare profession. The successful candidate will be placed according to years and months of experience for employment purposes.
