Urgent Care Nurse
Overview
We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join the UPMC‑GoHealth Urgent Care network in the greater Pittsburgh area and across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality urgent care, using advanced technology and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive urgent‑care services to patients with acute medical conditions.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, casting, and splinting.
- Interpret preliminary EKGs and X‑rays and coordinate follow‑up care.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR and point‑of‑care testing to document and manage patient care.
- Collaborate with on‑site radiology technicians and medical assistants to lead a high‑performing clinical team.
- Maintain flexible scheduling, including Monday‑through‑Friday shifts, weekend shifts, and limited on‑call availability.
- Minimum of 1 year of full‑time experience in Emergency Medicine or 2 years in an urgent‑care setting (2 years of Family Medicine experience may be considered).
- Comfortable performing minor procedures and preliminary reads on EKGs and X‑rays.
- Experience treating patients 6 months of age and older in an acute‑care setting.
- Physician Assistants:
Master’s degree and NCCPA certification required. - Nurse Practitioners:
Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification required.
