A transitional role for graduate nurses to begin orienting while awaiting NCLEX certification while providing individualized, compassionate care that supports patient recovery.

• Provide direct patient care activities appropriate to training and competency for assigned patients.
• Assist and collaborate with Registered Nurses in completing patient care activities to promote excellent patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Gain clinical experience by learning nursing procedures and disease processes and familiarizing yourself with the hospital environment.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families, understanding their unique needs to facilitate recovery.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments to ensure coordinated care and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Celebrate victories and milestones achieved by patients.

• CPR certification required.
• Proof of completion of an RN program and eligibility to sit for the NCLEX.
• Must take the NCLEX within six months of being granted Graduate Nurse status.
