- Provide medical care to ill and injured students according to list of standing orders provided by medical doctor.
- Keep record of all services provided to students in computer charging software.
- Fill out injury/accident reports when applicable on students injured.
- Order medical supplies when needed for nurse’s office.
- Coordinate student medical orders/needs as needed with students’ home school nurse and teachers, as permitted following confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and/or special events as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Licensed Practical Nurse License.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledgeable in communicable diseases and symptoms of illness.
- Knowledgeable in emergency treatment and facilities available for referrals for life‑threatening situations.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexibility and adaptability to different school settings.
- Willingness to go through and pass the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
- Physical, TB and Drug Test done within one year.
- Mandated Reporter Certificate.
