Location: College Hill

Marathon Health is a leading advanced primary care provider partnering with employer and union plan sponsors to improve health for millions of Americans through nationwide onsite, nearsite, and virtual primary care centers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational health and acute care to employees for workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Oversee medical staff (nurses, medical assistants, etc.) and ensure compliance with state medical and nursing regulatory boards.
  • Deliver primary care services, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment, and prescribing medications, at assigned Marathon Health clinic locations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, manage electronic medical records, and perform quality audits and chart reviews.
  • Administer vaccinations, interpret lab and diagnostic results, and coordinate referrals to specialists or acute care facilities as needed.
  • Conduct health promotion and education programs, including immunization clinics, employee wellness events, and safety days.
  • Serve as a medical liaison to community partners, communicating Marathon Health’s interests and quality standards.
  • Perform general office duties such as welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, and managing clinic supplies and equipment.
  • Research and apply the latest medical treatments and public health trends, maintaining continuing education to keep licensure current.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
  • Nurse Practitioner license in the state of assignment and board certification in a specified medical specialty.
  • Federal DEA certification and ALS/First Aid/CPR certifications.
  • Certification for independent prescriptive authority under state nursing board regulations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in internal medicine or family/general practice.
  • At least 2 years of experience in occupational medicine (preferred).
  • Full Practice Authority strongly preferred where applicable per state guidelines.

  • Knowledge of primary and urgent care practices and occupational health regulations.
  • Leadership skills for guiding a clinical team.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards for medical delivery.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft 365, and other clinical technologies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, customer service, and teamwork abilities.
  • Time‑management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Adaptability and problem‑solving aptitude for evolving workplace priorities.
