Registered Nurse; RN - Long Term Acute Care

Select Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Acute Care position at Select Specialty Hospital in Pittsburgh. This full‑time role offers a competitive hourly rate of $39.90–$55.00, a $15,000 sign‑on bonus, and free parking.

You will ensure that the nursing care plan is being followed by championing the Select Medical Way, putting the patient first, improving quality of life, and practicing high‑quality care with integrity.

• Adhere to all operative, invasive procedure policies, standards, and relevant bundles.
• Follow all documentation procedures and review physician documentation for compliance.
• Perform all non‑procedural duties when assigned, such as central line care, PICC insertions, wound care assistance, admissions, patient teaching, IV care, and patient transport.
• Participate as a member of the QAPI and Infection Control Committees.
• Manage all activities related to decontamination, processing, sterilization, and storage of supplies and instruments.
• Handle all scheduling and supervision of invasive procedures.
• Monitor medication and controlled substances.
• Monitor and manage all procedural room emergency equipment and supply inventory.
• Maintain applicable departmental logs and records, including pre‑operative, intra‑operative, post‑operative records, daily log, surgical/procedural log book, temperature log, humidity log, sterilization log, and specimen log.

• Valid temporary or permanent State Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or completed prior to end of orientation period.

• PICC qualification preferred.
• Operative or procedure room experience preferred.
• Knowledge of monitors, sedation procedures, and wound care preferred.
• Competency with rhythm strip analysis and interpretation preferred.

• $39.90–$55.00 per hour Compensation
