• Perform a wide range of clerical duties and direct patient care activities.
• Meet qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in the assigned clinical area.
• Provide patient care as directed, within the nursing assistant scope of practice, according to the multidisciplinary care plan established for each patient.
• Identify, observe, and document the physical needs of the patient and report changes in condition to licensed personnel in a timely manner.
• Obtain and maintain specimen integrity; process and transport specimens to the laboratory.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including patient hygiene, changing linens, and fulfilling delegated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care.
• Provide one‑to‑one patient safety watch as assigned following established policies and procedures.
• Perform point‑of‑care patient testing; maintain and quality‑control point‑of‑care instruments.
• Assist in problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and taking corrective measures for equipment and supplies.
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students.
• Perform clerical duties for admissions, transfers, discharges, and deaths according to unit standards.
• Transcribe and process orders; release and confirm ordered tests to appropriate departments.
• Coordinate transportation of patients to multiple tests.
• Assist in ordering supplies and communicate with food services to ensure appropriate patient diets.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and schedule maintenance of clerical equipment (computers, fax machines, phones, etc.).
• Assist with transporting non‑controlled medications and blood products as needed.
• Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) – required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience – preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification – AHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Proficiency in clinical skills, communication, interpersonal communication, preceptor skills, and teamwork.

• Full Time, Days/Evenings (36 Hours/Weekly)
• Shifts 3–12 hours; 7am–7:30pm.
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
