Overview

Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ED RN will assess, prioritize, and treat patients of all ages with a wide range of medical emergencies while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Candidates must be comfortable working in a Level III Trauma and Level II Stroke Center, floating to other units as needed, and delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

Requirements
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or Compact License (if applicable)
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred (18 months may be considered)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Experience caring for trauma, stroke, and emergency patients of all ages
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, communication, and emergency response skills
  • Willingness to float to other units as required
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care using triage principles
  • Provide emergency nursing care for trauma, medical, surgical, and critical patients
  • Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
  • Float to other patient care units as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
