Registered Nurse Acute Bedside - ELIGIBLE

Summary

Under the supervision of departmental management, responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care in accordance with established standards and skill competency.

• Must possess a current license or a temporary practice permit to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Appropriate clinical experience with a thorough knowledge of the scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, developed skill in delivering nursing care, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
• A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
• The ability to successfully complete a competency-based orientation and annual competency testing of skills and/or knowledge necessary to provide care to specific patient populations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or attainment of certification within one year of hire.

• One to three years of clinical experience in a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Board certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN).
