This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3 × 12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, totaling 36 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in Emergency Department settings. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of RN experience, including a minimum of 1 full year in a high-acuity Emergency Department. Experience should be hands-on and independent; observational or orientation-only experience will not qualify.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Manage trauma patients and critical care cases effectively.
  • Administer treatments and medications, including airway interventions, procedural sedation, and care for critical conditions.
  • Collaborate with ED Techs and other ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Support patients of all age groups, from infants to geriatrics, in a high-volume ED setting.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active Pennsylvania RN License.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
  • At least 1 full year of recent Emergency Department experience in high-acuity settings.
  • Experience with airway management and critical care competencies.
