* ** The position is for PPG Industries located in Springdale PA.*
* ** PPG Industries is a robust manufacturing plant that produces coatings for various types of use.  This RN will encounter frequent first aide issues so experience in the Emergency Room would be beneficial.*
* ** GENERAL OVERVIEW:*
* This job utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct delivery of patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols; assists in the implementation and maintenance of an occupational medicine program at AKMC; assists with marketing of such program, providing educational program.

* ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

*
* + Performs a comprehensive patient assessment to identify patient needs.

+ Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care with communication to clients regarding the care.

+ Performs and documents direct patient care and patient education according to nursing standards of practice.

+ Identifies and responds to patient condition to achieve positive patient outcomes.

+ Provides periodic interdepartmental refresher training on urine drug screen collection and breath alcohol testing for ancillary department personnel.

+ Promotes and markets the Health Works program and services.

* QUALIFICATIONS:

*
* ** Minimum*
* + Graduate from accredited school of nursing

+ Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)

+ 3 years of Direct Patient Care

** Preferred*
* + Certified Hearing Conservationist

+

Experience with Worker's Compensation laws, OSHA, Department of Transportation rules and regulations

+ Certified Breath Alcohol Technician

+ 3 years in Occupational or Emergency Medicine.
