Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ConvenientCare $10K incentive

Geisinger Convenient Care, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania.

Geisinger Convenient Care urgent care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team.

• Diagnose and treat common medical problems such as sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more.
• Perform routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.
• Work autonomously with limited administrative burden.
• Collaborate with physicians as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to health information policies.

• Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 8:15 pm
• Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am – 6:15 pm
• 14 rotating shifts per month, work every other weekend.
• No overnight shifts, no mandated additional shifts; call approximately six nights per year (no direct patient call for critical lab, CT, etc.).
• Six observed holidays:
  Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day.

• Minimum six months advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
• Physician Assistant: completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program and current NCCPA certification or eligibility, plus Pennsylvania state licensure.
• Nurse Practitioner: master's degree in Nurse Practitioner (Required) and eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania.
• Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
