Geisinger is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Convenient Care+ urgent care clinic in South Wilkes-Barre, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for advanced practice providers seeking a dynamic, patient-focused environment with strong clinical support and work-life balance.
Job duties include providing care for acute illnesses and chronic condition flare-ups at our South Wilkes-Barre Convenient Care+ clinic, an alternative to emergency department visits. The clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostics and direct hospital admission capabilities.
Position Highlights- $10,000 recruitment incentive
- Flexible schedule: 14 rotating shifts/month, no overnights, no mandatory extra shifts
- Shift hours: 12-hour weekdays (Mon–Fri), 10-hour weekends (Sat–Sun)
- Autonomous practice with on-site physician support
- Collaborative care team:
Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, RNs (available all hours of operation), Phlebotomy, Radiology Techs - Advanced equipment:
Telemedicine carts and continuous vital sign monitoring - On-site diagnostics: X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, lab services
