Part-Time Evening Practical Nursing Substitute Instructor – Lancaster County Career & Technology Center Job Summary

Substitute Instructors are responsible for delivering quality instruction in the field of practical nursing using course materials and pre-established lesson plans.

• Demonstrates a commitment to student success.
• Teaches skills appropriate to the occupational area that will prepare students to become an economic asset.
• Guides students in selection, perception, and performance of suitable learning activities.
• Starts and ends class at designated time.
• Supervises student conduct to ensure that the classrooms and labs provide an orderly environment conducive to productivity.
• Accepts responsibility for equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to the classroom.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
• Current RN license (must obtain licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania before start date).

• 2-4 years of nursing education experience, preferred.
• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferred.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing, preferred. If no Baccalaureate degree, must give evidence of continuing academic preparation.

Monday through Friday, hours vary based on daytime or evening shift to be worked.

$49.81 per hour
