Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional Resident care while fostering a positive and supportive environment for Team Members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating a positive, encouraging, and educational environment for Team Members
  • Ensuring consistency among Supportive Living Communities in all operations, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinating Resident care from admission through discharge while maintaining facility standards of care, Willow Valley Communities policies and procedures, and Department of Health regulatory requirements
  • Supervising and monitoring Resident care delivery on a daily basis
  • Managing nursing team member performance through education, performance appraisals, counseling, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and Human Resources
  • Ensuring unit compliance with facility policies, procedures, protocols, and quality metrics
  • Leading the interviewing, hiring, orientation, retention, and turnover management of nursing Team Members
  • Participating in the Resident care planning process in collaboration with RNAC and unit staff, including care plan development and attendance at care plan conferences as appropriate
  • Identifying staff education and training needs and collaborating with Supportive Living Education to provide training programs
  • Performing quality assurance monitoring, including tracking and trending clinical issues such as falls, medication errors, and related concerns
  • Serving as a resource for Residents and family members regarding nursing concerns, including follow-up on Concern Forms
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Team Members, Residents, and family members
  • Demonstrating strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Monitoring agency usage and staffing while minimizing agency dependence
  • Monitoring nursing practices and equipment to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Promoting Team Member and Resident satisfaction on assigned units
  • Following up on all unsatisfactory or average Resident Satisfaction Survey reviews and comments and documenting follow-up calls
  • Serving as a liaison and resource for nursing unit concerns with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Assisting the Director of Nursing with program and protocol development and implementation on nursing units
  • Providing on-call nursing supervisor coverage to the Skilled Nursing Department as needed
  • Acting as Director of Nursing in the absence of the Director of Nursing
  • Participating in daily, weekly, and monthly management meetings, staff meetings, committees, and task forces as assigned
  • Providing Resident care and emergency nursing support when necessary to meet Nursing Department goals and Resident care standards
Supervisory Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you will:

  • Manage Nurse Team Leaders and Nursing Assistants within the Skilled Nursing Department
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of clinical care for Residents on assigned units
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, regulations, and applicable laws
  • Participate in periodic on-call nursing supervision for the Skilled Nursing Department
Qualifications Required
  • Current RN license in Pennsylvania
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in a Long-Term Care setting
  • Previous supervisory experience (preferred)

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 a.m.

    - 4:30 p.m.
