About This Role
The RN - Operating Room position involves delivering professional nursing care in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative settings for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are skilled in surgical care.
Highlights- Location: Canonsburg, PA
- Facility: Highmark Health
- Schedule: Full-time, Days
- Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures.
- Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
- Manage overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure.
- Position patients appropriately for surgical procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Education:
- Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Experience in a surgical setting preferred.
Certifications:
- Current RN License in Pennsylvania.
- CPR certification required.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
