About This Role

The RN in the Emergency Department provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role is ideal for those who are skilled in coordinating patient care and supporting a diverse patient population.

• Location: Canonsburg, PA
• Facility: Highmark Health
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full-time

• Utilize the nursing process to provide and coordinate the plan of patient care.
• Initiate, monitor, and revise interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders.
• Complete patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families.
• Support the development of students, new staff, and colleagues, and may serve as a preceptor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Education:

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)

• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
