Role Description

This full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is an on-site position located in Myerstown, PA. The CNA supports residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence. Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, monitoring changes in residents’ conditions, and promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff. The CNA helps maintain a clean, safe environment, assists with transfers and positioning, and supports residents in activities and social interactions.

The role involves accurate documentation of care, adherence to care plans and infection control standards, and close collaboration with nurses, other care team members, and residents’ families.

Qualifications
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania and completion of an approved CNA training program.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing personal care, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting resident mobility and safety.
  • Ability to observe and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional status, including accurate vital sign measurement and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care that respects diverse backgrounds and beliefs, consistent with the organization’s values.
  • Ability to follow care plans, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Reliability in working full-time schedules, including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or a similar senior care setting is preferred but not required.
