About This Role

The RN in the Emergency Department provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and standards. This role is ideal for those who are skilled in patient care and are looking to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Location: Canonsburg, PA
• Facility: Highmark Health
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Part-time

• Utilize the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care.
• Initiate, monitor, and revise interdisciplinary plans of care based on assessments and physician orders.
• Complete patient documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing teaching to patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Support the development of students and new staff, may serve as a preceptor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Education:

• Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)

• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
